Within 8 working days of arrival in Italy of the family member(s), book an appointment at the Prefecture for a residence permit application

Documents required to apply for a residence permit for family reasons:

    • 1 revenue stamp of 16,00 euro for each reunited family member who has already reached 14 years of age;
    • two copies of your passport (page with personal date and all pages with stamps);
    • two copies of the NULLA OSTA AUTHORISATION for family reunification;
    • two copies of the transfer of property certificate (to be done within 48 hours from entry into Italy);
    • 2 copies of the residence permit of the person applying for family reunification

The shipping cost of the KIT is euro 30.
To apply for the electronic residence permit (PSE) a transfer on postal current account of euro 70.46 is required.
For each child aged under 14 an extra postal transfer of euro 30.46 is required.
Send one kit for each family member aged over 14.
In the event that the reunited family member is aged under 14, the applicant will have to renew his/her residence permit.

If the current address differs from the one indicated on the NULLA OSTA AUTHORISATION you need to present the certificate of proof of suitability of accommodation ( idoneità alloggiativa), a new contract and any other leaseholder’s authorisations.
For reunited family members aged over 65 the payment receipt of the registration in the National Health Service is required.

The Prefecture prints the residence permit application.

Your family member(s) undersign(s) the integration agreement if aged over 16.

Then, go to the post office and send your kit.
